Job Description
monitoring and analysing costscooperating with project managers to help them meet budgeting goalswriting reports and presenting information to key stakeholdersdeveloping and adjusting budgetsresearching to find opportunities to reduce expensesevaluating project requirements to provide vital resources, including financial and human resourcescommunicating with suppliers to negotiate material costsoptimising decommissioning procedures to minimise lossesvisiting and monitoring retail outlets to assess wastage and efficiencyimplementing accounting software and automating cost control systemsdeveloping financial reporting procedures and systemscollaborating with project managers to create effective budgetscalculating the variance between the budgeting plan and realityinvestigating unprofitable variances and lossesdeveloping cost-efficient solutions to implement changesConsistently offers professional, engaging and friendly serviceManage the team for which you are responsible and ensure that they are trained and monitored to carry out the Company's processesOn daily basis, ensure security of the storage and receiving areas are under your controlTo provide HOD's with accurate delivery note details in order to establish purchasing accruals at the end of the accounting periodsTo maintain department stock requirements, identifying shortages in advance and ensuring the order is placedTo check, weigh, temperature probe and store all deliveries appropriatelyEnsure all credit notes are requested and received and delivery notes correspond correctly to orders with the correct pricingTo check all storerooms are clean at all timesTo review purchase requisitions considering issues such as lead times, standardization, quantity discounts, and purchasing budgetsConduct market price surveys in coordination with HODs to ensure best pricingOther Duties as assignedTo conduct quarterly OSE inventory and report the variances to the managementTo reconcile the cost of all officer and entertainment checks and apply credit to the respective departments.
Previous experience is an assetAccounting designation or enrolment requiredPrevious hotel experience preferredFamiliarity with Financial systems, Opera, Micros, POS, ExcelKnowledge in Future log & product Additional Information
