What you will do

Strategy & Reporting – 20%:

  1. Partner closely with QA Lead to implement overall Testing strategy including Automation strategy for the team
  2. Actively participate in planning and strategy meetings for key initiatives
  3. Develop milestones, test plans and publish reports
  4. Identify automation opportunities and actively champion to increase automation coverage/shift left

Execution – 80%:

  1. Work with engineers and project leads to triage and prioritize issues for resolution especially for strategic initiatives
  2. Analyze requirements, use cases, design docs etc. and provide inputs from a testing point of view
  3. Creates, executes and maintains automation tests
  4. Contribute to automation framework
  5. Log, review and triage defects for strategic initiatives
  6. Assist with Production issues/live site testing when needed
  7. Exploratory testing, as needed
Must haves
  1. +3 years of hands-on testing experience in manual and automation testing
  2. Proficiency in programming languages, such as JavaScript, Java, or Python
  3. Experience with Playwright and Selenium
  4. Experience with e-commerce applications
  5. Proven experience creating test strategies and test plans
  6. Expertise in identifying the scope of automation and driving automation test development
  7. Experience with API testing
  8. Experience with continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, Bit Bucket, or Github
  9. Mobile automation testing tools for Android, iOS
  10. Interpersonal & Communication skills – Good interpersonal skills. Must be a team player. Need strong verbal & written communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering and leadership teams
  11. Upper-intermediate English level
Nice to haves
  1. Familiarity with Elixir and the Phoenix framework
  2. Experience with OOP languages such as Perl, PHP (Drupal)
  3. Work experience with offshore/nearshore/onshore model a big plus
  4. Experience with Agile methodology is preferred – SCRUM
  5. Storybook knowledge
  6. JIRA – Defect tracking and task creation tool
  7. Confluence, Share Point
  8. Any Test Management tool
  9. CI/CD QA automation – Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for automation workflows – Kafka
