Associate for CIB Finance & Business Management - Legal Entity Control

Responsibilities Include

  • Supporting LEC covering BR GAAP requirements, including responsibilities related to oversight of financial reporting associated with the J.P. Morgan legal entities;
  • Conducting analysis over monthend process, including coverage of financial instruments accounting (fixed income, equities, derivatives), balance sheet variance analysis and associated controls;
  • Support in the preparation of financial statements in BR GAAP, managing deliverables with external auditors and participating in the press release process;
  • Active participation on internal projects such as system migrations, new business initiatives and regulatory reporting changes associated with local GAAP;
  • Providing support on internal requirements which includes: internal audits, metrics and controldriven regional initiatives;
  • Assistance on analyzing GAAP differences between US GAAP and BR GAAP.

Qualifications Include

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting;
  • Broad knowledge of financial services businesses and products;
  • Broad knowledge of BRGAAP requirements;
  • Minimal 3 years of experience working with accounting in Financial Institutions;
  • Strong technical, relationship building and communication skills (written and verbal in Portuguese and English);
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, ability to handle multiple timelines and working on complex projects.
