o9 Solutions is looking for a Senior or Lead DevOps Engineer responsible for the successful and timely deployment of software applications in production environments. This position demands a profound understanding of deployment processes, automation, continuous integration, and deployment practices. The ideal candidate will have a fervor for automating tasks, enhancing efficiency, and delivering dependable software.

What you will do in this role:

  • Design and execute deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Gitlab, Ansible, Puppet, or similar to automate building, testing, and deployment processes
  • Manage and sustain the infrastructure for deployment pipelines, including servers, databases, load balancers, and other resources
  • Monitor application performance in production environments and address any arising issues
  • Implement security and compliance measures for deployment processes and applications
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure alignment with the development process and support successful deployment
  • Enhance deployment processes through automation, identifying and incorporating efficiency enhancements
  • Assist customers and end-users as needed, resolving issues related to deployed applications
  • Work with diverse teams to ensure the successful and timely deployment of software applications
  • Participate in on-call rotations to offer 24/7 support for the platform
  • Adapt and collaborate with teams globally across different time zones

5+ years of experience in a deployment role Masters Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management OR 7+ years of experience in a deployment role with a Bachelor's degree. Certification in any of the following:

  • AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience deploying and maintaining applications in any one of the clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with cloud-based environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Experience with Dockers or similar and experience with Kubernetes or similar
  • Strong technical skills in automation, continuous integration, and deployment practices
  • Working knowledge with Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
  • Administration of databases (MS SQL, Mongo)
  • Working knowledge with Linux and Windows operating systems
