Amazon Generative AI (GenAI) Innovation Center (GAIIC) was launched in June 2023 to support AWS customers in boosting enterprise innovation and achieving success with Generative AI. Companies like Highspot, Lonely Planet, Ryanair, and Twilio are collaborating with GAIIC to explore generative solutions.

GAIIC offers a chance to innovate in a dynamic environment, contributing to groundbreaking projects and technologies deployed on devices and in the cloud.

As a data scientist at GAIIC, your role involves designing and developing advanced Generative AI solutions to address various customer challenges.

You will handle large amounts of text, images, and other data types to tackle real-world issues through Gen AI.

You will collaborate closely with account teams and ML strategists to define use cases, conduct experiments with other scientists and ML engineers, and discover new ways to provide value to customers.

The ideal candidate should possess technical expertise and customer-facing skills to represent AWS within the solution providers' ecosystem and directly to end customers. You will engage in discussions with senior technical and management personnel at customers and partners.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab, etc.)
  • 4+ years of experience as a data scientist
  • Experience with statistical models such as multinomial logistic regression
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience or Master's degree with 4 years of experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in data visualization using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc.
  • Experience in managing data pipelines
  • Leadership and mentorship experience in a data science team
  • Experience with Machine Learning and Generative AI
