Conducting Assistant

Education and Technical Skills:

  • Higher degree in Music (Instrument, Singing or Orchestral Conducting) or proven experience in conducting orchestras/instrumental groups using the El Sistema method.
  • Previous experience in orchestral management and conducting.
  • Mastery of an orchestral instrument.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills.

Desirable Additional Knowledge:

  • Experience with projects based on the principles of Venezuela's El Sistema.
  • People management.
  • Fluency in several languages.
  • Composition and arrangement skills.

Main Activities:

  • Conducting NEOJIBA orchestral and choral groups.
  • Advising on and supervising the musical activities of the program's groups.
  • Intermediation of musical issues with the Musical Direction.
  • Participating in exam boards and promoting training.
  • Coordination of artistic and pedagogical projects.
  • Assistance in choosing repertoires.

Personal/Professional Skills:

  • Teamwork, planning and organization.
  • Initiative, analytical skills and leadership.
