The project :
We are looking for an exceptional Product Owner for this fully remote opportunity to work with a US-based client in the decoration industry.
Founded in 2003, with a focus on home decoration, the company has units distributed around California and a website for purchasing interior products.
They believe character is innate.Their collection is designed - from concept to creation - to enhance the way people live, elevate the presence of their homes, and evolve with them.
The responsibilities:
Own the product backlog, prioritizing based on business value, customer needs, and technical constraints. Understand the capabilities of the systems in place, becoming the resident expert in their functions and use. Recommend ways to leverage those capabilities while automating and simplifying processes. Solicit and anticipate business requirements; uncover areas for improvement. Work closely with engineering and design teams to deliver features that improve our operations and customer experience. Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear communication and collaboration. Support the day-to-day processes of the systems; investigate issues or errors; analyze results and recommend improvements. Develop detailed requirements for both internal technical teams and vendors. Work closely with those teams to ensure the developed features meet the requirements. Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings. Perform user acceptance testing; facilitate the creation of test data to ensure modifications are properly tested prior to deployments. Update, implement and maintain documentation on processes and procedures.
The requirements:
A bachelor's degree in business or related field. A minimum of 5 years' experience in product management, ideally within retail/ecommerce, logistics or supply chain. Background in overseeing technical projects from conception to completion. Ability to lead and improve team performance and project delivery processes. Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills. Demonstrated experience in creating data and process maps/flows. Curiosity about how things are done and why, with a natural desire to improve processes and eliminate unproductive tasks. Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills. Excellent communicator, capable of breaking down complex ideas for various audiences. Demonstrated success in analyzing and documenting complex business processes. Broad understanding of various programming concepts, without needing deep technical know-how. Self-motivated, with a knack for prioritizing effectively in fast-paced environments. The ability to work closely with stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems.
