QMC is looking to bring on an experienced Junior RF Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-paced environment. Junior Radio Frequency Engineer is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, optimization and enhancement of wireless telecommunications networks. Responsibilities include link budget analysis, system dimensioning for coverage and capacity including traffic analysis, initial system design and dimensioning, coverage planning, site identification, evaluation and zoning support, frequency planning, interference analysis and optimization. It also includes customer meetings to Support technical pre-sales team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • RF Design for CDMA, UMTS, LTE, 5GNr SA and NSA, Wi-Fi and Microwave, technologies.
  • Spectrum Management and Frequency Planning.
  • It will be required to learn on the job regarding set-up, calibration, utilization, and data processing of various design and optimization equipment and software.
  • Self-learning initiative and willingness to learn and acquire new skills such as (Planet, ATOLL, Wizard, Odyssey, dB Planner, Ibwave etc.) for model calibration, drive test data post-processing, map generation, frequency planning and interference matrix analysis, site database maintenance, etc.
  • Verify RF related site engineering drawings in CAD.
  • Perform design criteria, system dimensioning, link budget and traffic and interference analysis.
  • Understand equipment co-location requirements for multiple operators and perform inter-modulation analysis.
  • Generate RF engineering related reports in Excel, Access, SQL as required.
  • Good public speaking and presentation skills.

What is required for this position?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of GSM, WCDMA,LTE and 5G NR architecture.
  • Knowledge of Collection tools such as Nemo Analyzer.
  • Knowledge of DAS systems.
  • Knowledge of prediction tools such as Atoll and Ibwave.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Current knowledge of economic and technological developments in wireless industry.
  • Ability to understand and incorporate new technologies to solve complex business challenges.
  • Ability to develop multiple best-cost solutions for problem situations.
  • Data Network experience.
  • Advanced English required.
  • Residence in São Paulo is essential.
