Job overview at a glance LRQA's Sustainability Consulting team specializes in helping clients to design and implement responsible sourcing programs, due diligence and sustainability / ESG strategies, and climate and carbon management in their supply chains.

We are looking for professionals to help to develop our growing Climate advisory services in the Americas market. You will be part of the ELEVATE global Advisory team and you will report into ELEVATE Advisory LATAM. You will be supported by our global network and make use of our exclusive EiQ data. In this role, you will engage with the full project cycle with support and direction from senior team members. This includes project design, proposal drafting, project implementation, creating deliverables, and presenting to clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual to join a rapidly growing and successful business that is disrupting traditional approaches to sustainability, responsible sourcing, and supply chain management.

Your projects will be primarily concentrated on private sector clients spanning a variety of sectors, including consumer goods, retail, food/agriculture, and electronics.

This role will be client-facing and require direct engagement with senior stakeholders at companies (e.g., sustainability/ESG, sourcing and/or procurement teams), investment firms, and law firms.

Responsibilities Project delivery:

Support Senior staff on the delivery of consulting engagements and project management by engaging with clients, conducting research, information analysis and synthesis to address client's needs.

You will be expected to keep projects on track and at a high level of quality.

Contribution to written client deliverables:
reports, presentationsCommunication on and presentation of deliverables to clients

Product and service development:
support on standardization and development of LRQA products across the sustainability and supply chain services, through innovating and enhancing existing products, processes and ways of working to accelerate efficiencies, effectiveness and delivering positive impact projects

Business development:

support on proposals, networking and profiling of LRQA to help the team to secure new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients.

Reporting to Associate Director / Senior Consultants to account for above responsibilities.

Requirements and qualifications 3-5 years of professional experience in sustainability and carbon management strategy including: Carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions) and reporting (across a range of protocols and regulatory regimes) such as GHG Protocol, WRI, ISO14064, Sustainability/ESG and disclosure standards and guidance for example TCFD, SASB, TNFD, GRI, CRSD, ISSB etc;Carbon management and decarbonization plans, including setting targets, emission reduction action plans, SBTs alignment.

Sustainable resource and energy management, materials efficiency, and circular economyAdvanced knowledge of the sustainability business environment and regulatory trends and standards.

Strong research and writing skills.
Communication, networking, and stakeholder engagement skillsAble to work in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus.
Ability to understand, interpret and processing quantitative large data sets and advanced Excell skills.
Detail-oriented, solutions-oriented, questioning mindset, and problem-solver.
Has and applies emotional intelligence and proven team skills. Takes initiative and can work autonomously and in a fast-paced environment.

Passionate about social and environmental topicsAdept at working virtually and in person – 1:1, team, – with a strong capacity for self-management, self-support, and learning/skills building.

Capacity to work across different time zones, i.e., to hold meetings outside of regular local working hours, when required. Ability to respond positively to deadlines and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, and changing work environment.

Strong information and data processing skills, the ability to adopt multiple approaches to reasoning, analytical and synthetic thinking, critical thinking and problem solving, attention to detail, and conceptual and systems thinking.
