Description & Requirements

Objective:

Responsible for crafting and implementing sourcing strategies, as well as the day to day management of EM suppliers, including finding and delivering efficiency, working collaboratively to deliver innovation / new products and mitigating risks. The role is responsible for category strategy which will enable Kraft Heinz to use the skills external partners bringing value through productivity and innovation delivery.

T his role will be responsible for:

  • Managing over USD 45MM spend on External Manufacturing category across LATAM.
  • Manage day-to-day Procurement responsibilities of the external manufacturing Procurement team, including developing and implementing sourcing strategy, negotiating contracts, performing make vs buy analysis, developing alternative sources of supply, and troubleshooting supply interruptions.
  • Lead and move External Manufacturing Team to a Strategic agenda, by setting up category strategy and sourcing plan aiming build a strong partnership with EM suppliers to absorb our growth in LATAM.
  • Execution of sourcing activities, performance supplier evaluation, contract management, generate strategic information and provide recommendations for business decision taken.
  • Lead or support key negotiations of contractual agreements to ensure that they meet business needs, adhere to corporate standards, and financially deliver against our value commitments.
  • Deliver productivity savings and develop a continuous efficiency pipeline of savings to ensure future delivery of the strategic plan commitments related to the P&L and the Balance sheet. Focus efforts and project identification on total cost of ownership (TCO) and explore oportunities in value engineering.
  • Develop and handle annual budgets and monthly forecasts for cash flow, purchase price variance and other financial metrics related to external manufacturing.
  • Work with Operations and Planning to identify business risk related to internal capacity constrained categories, and work with R&D to develop alternative sources of supply for key categories or products.
  • Support business growth as a Procurement business partner through External Manufacturing suppliers meeting Innovation and production capacity needs.
  • Review, supervise and enhance compliance and controls related to company policies and reporting.
  • Recruit, engage, develop, and retain a team that will work together to achieve the overall business objectives for EM in the Latam Zone.Direct Leadership of 3 specialists.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 7 years of experience in Procurement
  • 5 years of experience in External Manufacturing Category
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Economy, management or other relevant);
  • Post-graduated
  • Spanish Intermediate/Advanced
