About the position

At SOTEC Consulting – Astek Group, we are looking for a detail-oriented QA/Developer to join our team, focusing on both our core web application and our reporting tool. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our digital products, while also contributing to their ongoing development and enhancement.


Key Responsabilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases for web applications and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements for both the web application and reporting tool.
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts (e.g., using Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools).
  • Perform regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reporting outputs.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on quality and best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for QA processes, test cases, and development work.


️ Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in both software development and quality assurance for web applications.
  • Proficiency in Python and Java programming language.
  • Experience with any automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and validating data/report outputs.
  • Understanding of web technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills in English (Minim B2).


Nice to Have

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database testing.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Good communication skills in Spanish.
