Test Automation Developer (m/f/n)

Join DataSquads as a Test Automation Developer and help ensure high quality releases for our customers. Your main mission is to build reliable automated tests for backend and frontend systems, so new features work as expected before deployment and stay stable after going live. You will work closely with developers and product teams in an agile environment and bring a strong engineering mindset to quality.


Your tasks at a glance:

  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for backend and frontend systems.
  • Test new features before deployment and run regression tests after deployment.
  • Create and improve UI automation using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
  • Build API tests for REST and GraphQL endpoints and validate integrations end to end.
  • Integrate tests into CI pipelines and help make deployments safer and faster.
  • Work with developers on test driven development practices and improve testability of code.
  • Use AI assisted approaches for faster test creation, better coverage, and smarter debugging of flaky tests.
  • Document test scenarios, report issues clearly, and help drive continuous quality improvements.


What should you bring with you:

  • A degree in Computer Science, software engineering, or equivalent studies.
  • Strong coding skills with solid development experience in backend and frontend.
  • Hands on experience with test automation for web and APIs.
  • Practical knowledge of automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar.
  • Experience with testing frameworks, for example Jest, Mocha, pytest, JUnit, or similar.
  • Good understanding of CI pipelines and how to run tests automatically.
  • Experience with Docker is a plus.
  • Knowledge of test driven development and modern QA engineering practices.
  • Comfort with using AI tools to speed up testing work and improve quality.
  • Proficiency in English (C2) and Portuguese (C2).
  • Located in Brazil.
