Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Air and Ocean Export Specialist at Platton in São Paulo, SP. Air and Ocean Export Specialist will be responsible for managing export documentation, coordinating export activities, providing customer service support, and ensuring compliance with the export regulations.


Responsibilities:

  • Documentation Preparation: Prepare and review all required export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, shipping labels, and customs declarations. Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Customs Clearance: Coordinate customs clearance processes for export shipments, including filing required documentation, obtaining permits and licenses, and liaising with customs authorities to resolve any issues or delays.
  • Transportation Coordination: Coordinate transportation arrangements for export shipments, including booking cargo space, arranging pick-up and delivery, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, customs brokers, and other stakeholders involved in the export process. Provide timely updates and address inquiries to ensure a seamless shipping experience.
  • Compliance Management: Stay up-to-date with export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements to ensure compliance with US customs laws and international trade requirements. Implement best practices to minimize risks and optimize processes.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and proactively communicating updates throughout the shipping process. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the export process, such as customs delays, transportation disruptions, or documentation errors. Implement corrective actions and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in import/export coordination or customs brokerage, with a minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade documentation requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems (e.g., customs clearance software, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
