Job Title: Data Quality Analyst

Purpose:

The Data Quality Analyst is responsible for auditing and testing enterprise applications with a focus on backend ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) processes and other software modules related to the creation of data warehouse reporting instruments, ensuring high-quality and reliable information. This role also involves creating ad-hoc queries to extract information from reporting sources as requested by business areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow established quality assurance standards and processes.
  • Determine and implement methods, flows, and procedures to improve QA and business processes.
  • Create and document test scripts to audit data integrity on an ongoing basis.
  • Test newly developed applications by creating test scenarios and verifying compliance with business requirements.
  • Analyze and resolve application and data issues as they arise.
  • Document production processes and objects for better understanding across IT and business users.
  • Handle ad-hoc data warehouse queries for end users as needed.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related business discipline from an accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Quality Assurance, preferably in data warehousing or reporting environments.
  • At least 2 years of QA testing experience, ideally in data integrity assessment.
  • Preferably 2+ years of experience in the travel industry.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.

Technical Skills:

  • SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle platform preferred).
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and architectures.
  • Experience creating and executing test scripts for data validation.
  • Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills with large datasets.
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases (tables, indexes, triggers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with reporting/BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, OBIEE, Cognos).
  • Intermediate English level (B2) – strong written and verbal communication required.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team environments.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and shifting priorities effectively.
