Responsible for providing loss control expertise, support and assistance to Allianz Commercial LC & MC and its customers, to assist Allianz Natural Resources underwriting in risk selection and retention. She/he will support also Property risks specially complex risks and renewables and related with provide ongoing co-ordination and monitoring of the loss control activity / servicing of assigned accounts & loss control survey work to assist with servicing of assigned accounts. Provide risk consultancy on existing and prospective accounts. Develop and maintain professional working relationships with Underwriting, Market Management, Communications, Claims, clients and brokers. Maintain and enhance technical skills and expertise in respective field to support the business. She/he will be also involved in the training and knowledge transfer to his colleagues from LC/MC in the region in his specific field.


Main Tasks

Risk Assessments: Complete desk top reviews and risk assessments (pre & post loss) for underwriting evaluating and summarizing exposures and controls, for Engineering related to remaining oil&gas clients/activities, renewables including Hydrogen technologies, property complex risks (chemical, heavy industry, special industries).

Consulting Services: Work with underwriting, claims, the client and the broker where appropriate to develop customised loss control programmes including locations to be surveyed (or included as part of continuing service), scope and cost of risk consulting services. Presentations and training for internal and external audience.

Services Guidance: Generate and review required reports and recommendations. Meet reporting deadlines in accordance with departmental performance objectives.

Survey Analysis: Survey client operations obtain appropriate data, identify hazards, discuss findings with appropriate parties. Generate loss control reports, recommendations etc., and development and publication of Property Loss Control Bulletins.

3rd Party Support: Appoint / monitor 3rd parties ensuring adequate contract / controls in place with budgets agreed up front. Check and ensure quality of work provided by 3rd parties. Proactive monitoring of technical industry issues to aid strategic direction.

Projects: Assist Allianz Commercial clients with respect to ongoing or specific projects. Support technical training presentations for internal underwriters and external clients as required / appropriate. Be able to lead internal projects in Allianz Commercial related to data analysis, new technologic developments, business efficiency and automation not necessarily in risks consulting activities but related a UW, Operations and other areas.


Education Level: Degree in Engineering (preferably in a line associated with Natural Resources)

Languages: Portuguese and English are required.
