Roles and responsibilities

  • Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP Financials (focus on FICO control - Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Project System, Profit Analysis, Unpaid Costs, Month End Closing, Valuation and Settlement of Overheads).
  • Experience in RAR, Group Reporting - FX, FI, AR, AP, GL, Asset Management and Banking
  • Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops to gather business requirements.
  • Mapping customer requirements, processes and business objectives; developing the necessary product modifications to meet customer needs.
  • Design, customize, configure and test FI/CO modules.
  • Must have reporting experience and localization knowledge of the LATAM region.
  • Identify gaps, problems and workarounds.
  • Act as a liaison with the client to resolve problems: investigate, analyze and resolve software problems.
  • Document functional projects, test cases and results.
  • Proactively identify and propose improvements to the business process and/or system.
  • Provide consultancy services on new implementations and existing support projects.
  • Act as a liaison between the commercial functions and the technical team.
  • Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required.
  • Work autonomously and independently; can act as subject matter mentor for younger members

Desired skills and experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a full-cycle implementation, as well as in support projects.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in SAP, supporting the general ledger plus 3 or more of the following functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Fixed Assets Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, Project System.
  • Experience of FI integration points with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP and PM.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and manage multiple deliverables and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in a professional services or distribution company is an advantage.
  • Understanding of accounting business processes
  • Ability to understand business processes from the client's perspective
  • Ability to work in a team environment, interacting effectively with others.
  • Must be results-oriented, adaptable, flexible and resourceful.
