Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and architect scalable, secure, and compliant cloud solutions for nuclear operations applications and data systemsDevelop cloud strategies that align with nuclear regulatory requirements (NRC), cybersecurity standards (10 CFR 73.54), and industry best practicesLead cloud migration initiatives for nuclear applications, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and maintaining safety-critical system integrityImplement robust security controls, identity and access management, and data protection measures for sensitive nuclear informationCollaborate with nuclear engineering, operations, IT security, and compliance teams to ensure cloud solutions meet operational and regulatory needsDesign hybrid cloud and on-premises architectures that support both corporate and plant-specific nuclear systemsEstablish cloud governance frameworks, cost optimization strategies, and disaster recovery/business continuity plansEvaluate emerging cloud technologies and services for applicability to nuclear operationsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams on cloud best practices and architecture patternsMaintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architectures, security controls, and compliance measuresRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineeringExpert-level knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements for regulated industriesAbility to obtain and maintain security clearance for nuclear facility accessRelevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Architect)What do we offer?
