About This OpportunityThis is a backend developer position for a workflow-based data platform that digitizes product launch operations. The platform manages financial planning, margin approvals, routes tasks and coordinates with data set up teams. The platform performs automated testing to validate setups and approvals, helping in faster time to market.

ResponsibilitiesLeading technical efforts on the platform, ownership of technical architecture and mentoring developers Development, testing and support of a Java, Spring based platform Development of new features and enhancements on the platformAnalyzing requirements/ user stories to appropriately support design activitiesParticipating in the full lifecycle of projects, including effective use of version control, build management, unit testing, and issue tracking softwareTroubleshooting and resolving production issuesDevelop and execute comprehensive unit and integration testsTest and certify release of code artifactsContribute to the improvement of developer tooling and processes Qualifications Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information science, or related field required 7-10 years of progressive Java development experience including JSE, JEE in enterprise level scalable, distributed and fault tolerant environmentsExperience of open-source application frameworks – Spring, Apache, HibernateExperience of SQL and DBs such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL ServerExperience developing Restful Web ServicesExperience or knowledge of Javascript web frameworks like – Angular, React or VueExperience participating in the full lifecycle of projects, including effective use of version control, build management, unit testing, and issue tracking software (ex. SVN, Maven, JIRA, Jenkins)Good understanding in objected-oriented analysis and design across a variety of platformsExperience of various platforms like Windows server, Linux/UnixStrong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex systems and situations and troubleshoot issuesProblem solving skills and strong sense of ownershipExcellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal interactions (ability to foster a cooperative work environment)Flexibility to learn on the job and adapt to a changing environmentKnowledge of BPM frameworks like Activiti or Camunda are a strong plusTechnical certifications (programming, cloud) are a plus
