Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Backend Developer with a strong background in Python and internal systems. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and collaborating with front end developers and data scientists to create cutting-edge solutions to extract insights, improve processes, and drive innovation within our organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python to support our frontend applications and internal systems.
  • Leverage AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, RDS) to build and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure.
  • Work with SQL databases to design schemas, write queries, and optimize database performance for both transactional and analytical workloads.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality, end-to-end solutions.
  • Implement best practices for security, monitoring, and reliability of the backend systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure code quality and system stability.
  • Keep up with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our tech stack and development processes.


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in backend development with Python.
  • Proficiency in working with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, RDS).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, with experience in database design and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and asynchronous programming.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on delivering high-quality work.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with building HIPAA-compliant software
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
