This involves ingesting data from a variety of sources, including databases, APIs, flat files, and streaming platforms, into our data warehouses or data lakes. Database Management and Optimization: Manage and maintain our relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. You will be responsible for writing complex SQL queries, performing data manipulation, and ensuring data integrity. Data Integration: Integrate disparate data sources to create a unified, consistent, and accurate view of our data, resolving any discrepancies and ensuring data quality across systems. Data Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor rigorous data quality checks, validation processes, and governance practices to guarantee the accuracy, reliability, and security of our data assets. Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks within data pipelines and database systems to enhance overall system efficiency and ensure timely data availability. Cloud Platform Utilization: Leverage various services and tools within cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud) for efficient data storage, processing, and analytical solutions. Documentation: Create and maintain thorough documentation for data architecture, data flows, processes, and data models. This ensures clarity, facilitates knowledge transfer, and promotes adherence to best practices. Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, data analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand their data requirements and deliver appropriate data solutions that support their analytical and reporting needs. Soft Skill (Personal characteristics)Preferred Skills (Bonus Points): Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI). Relevant cloud data certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Engineer, Google Professional Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer Associate).
