Senior Node.js Software Engineer (Contract) – Remote (UK Time Zone) – €250/dayContract: 6+ monthsRate: €250/day (B2B)Location: Fully remote, must work to UK time zoneStart: ASAPWe’re hiring a Senior Node.js Software Engineer to join a greenfield, startup-style product team building a next-generation financial services platform. You’ll be part of a fast-moving engineering squad operating like an independent startup within an established, well-funded organisation.If you thrive in collaborative, iterative environments and enjoy solving complex technical challenges with modern tooling, this is a great fit.What you’ll be doingDesigning, developing, testing, and deploying complex serverless and microservice-based applications.Creating clean, scalable Node.js/TypeScript solutions with an API-first mindset.Leading and contributing to technical design reviews.Owning high-quality delivery through unit/integration testing and CI/CD best practices.Working with AWS serverless tooling (Lambda, ECS, CDK, SAM, Serverless Framework).Troubleshooting application issues and optimising performance.Collaborating closely with other engineers, product, and delivery teams in an agile environment.Tech you’ll work withNode.js + TypeScriptAWS serverless (Lambda, ECS, CDK, SAM, Serverless Framework)API-first microservices architectureJest (unit & integration testing)RESTful APIs, JSONCI/CD (GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps, SonarQube)Terraform (or willingness to learn)Kafka / event-driven architecture (or willingness to learn)What we’re looking forStrong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript.Solid hands-on background in serverless or container-based microservices.Experience in designing and reviewing complex software modules.Strong testing mindset (Jest or similar).Comfortable in agile, fast-paced delivery environments.Curious, collaborative, and proactive — someone with a startup mindset.If you’re looking for an impactful contract role with modern tech and a genuinely exciting mission, we’d love to hear from you.Apply now or reach out directly for more details.
