You’ll partner closely with the Product Designer, both Founders, and lead our engineering team to build reliable software that drives customer retention and product velocity.You’ll spend ~75% of your time writing code and ~25% on technical direction, architectural decisions, and collaborating on the product roadmap.You will operate in a Build → Measure → Learn + Iterate product loop.About You8+ years building full-stack applications with Python and JavaScript4+ years of production React experienceAble to translate Figma designs into scalable React/Python implementationsStrong product-growth instincts and experience with event instrumentationSkilled with PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar toolsExceptional communicator who builds trust, aligns teams, and drives decisionsStaff-level depth: setting technical direction, making architectural tradeoffs, delivering impactAdept at balancing technical debt, infra cost, engineering hours, and time-to-shipComfortable in fast-paced startup environments where engineers own infra end-to-endOur StackPython (FastAPI) — backendTypeScript (React) — frontendPostgres (Supabase)PostHog for product analyticsAWSGitHubWhat You’ll Do1. BuildWork with the Product Designer and Founders to define the technical directionTranslate customer feedback and Figma screens into clear technical requirementsBreak down work across yourself + 2 Full-Stack Engineers + 1 AI EngineerOwn architecture, core features, and high-quality implementationImprove reliability, scalability, and maintainability across the codebase2. MeasureInstrument all necessary customer events inside our web appEnsure PostHog receives clean, reliable data for evaluating retention and feature impact3. Learn + IteratePartner with the Product Designer and CTO to build charts/dashboards in PostHogExtract insights quickly to inform product decisionsShip iterations rapidly and maintain a fast learning cycle
