Job Summary for Release Manager:
Our client is looking for Release Manager who can manage the release cycle and will work with QA regression team to prepare and validate our release candidates and inform stakeholders of any release blockers or post-release incidents. Also will work with the Engineering and Product team to address issues associated with releases. Will be responsible for maintaining and continuously updating the release process.
Job Qualifications and Responsibilities for Release Manager:
- Manage our regular release cycle.
- Oversee configuration of test and production environments.
- Provide release status updates to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Facilitate the creation of both internal and client-facing release notes.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to release processes.
- Coordinate with Engineering, QA and Product teams on addressing ad-hoc requirements.
- Continuously improve the release process to address the changes in technology and the growing complexity of our system.
- 2+ years of experience working with production software applications.
- Knowledge of ITIL and Agile methodologies.
- Previous experience managing release cycles.
- Previous experience managing multiple environment configurations.
- Able to work with command line interface and code editors.
- Experience with CircleCI or similar CI/CD tools.
- Experience with LaunchDarkly or similar feature flag management software.
- Previous exposure to QA testing practices.
