This vacancy is for our Portuguese team and you will have to relocate to Portugal.We’re launching a new partnership with a valued client in fintech, and we’re growing our team to support this exciting collaborationClient is a financial sciences company, combining data analysis, invention, and rigorous inquiry to help solve the toughest challenges in investment management, insurance technology, securities, private equity, and venture capital.Project Overview:The platform is a portfolio analytics tool used by asset owners, asset managers, and advisors.The platform applies the best expertise in research, data science, and technology to modernize the analytics experience for institutional investors, helping them embrace a quantitative approach to multi-asset portfolio risk and investment decision making.The available tools help investors perform factor-based risk analysis to inform manager due diligence, investment evaluation, and portfolio construction.The client's headquarters is in the USAWe are seeking an experienced, full-stack Software Engineer to help own the innovation, technical design, and development of the platform.Technology Stack:Cloud based, modern web application stack using Java, Typescript, React.jsApollo GraphQL as an popular open-source ecosystem for building and managing GraphQL APIsService oriented architecture, infrastructure-as-codeContinuous development and deploymentAuto-scaling and robust search (Postgres, OpenSearch)Cloud technologies (AWS)Cloud monitoring (Datadog)Test automation (Cypress)Requirements:7+ years of experience preferred building and delivering customer facing productsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline7+ years of Experience with Java development3+ years of Experience with modern front-end technologies: React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript**Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, test automation, DevOps and cloud technologies (AWS preferred)Prior experience with systems design, building enterprise SaaS solutions, experience with user research, and product analytics are a major plusStrong communication skills, keen attention to detail, readiness to challenge assumptions and obsession with building quality softwareResponsibilities:Create, design, build and deploy SaaS product end to end with an agile approach, from conceptualization, through rigorous testing, and partnering with client´s multi-functional teams to ensure an outstanding in-product UXConduct front-end web development using React, TypeScript, CSS, and other technologiesPerform API design and development in Java, using cloud, microservices, and cachingBecome a domain expert and trusted advisor in the full-stack software engineering fieldContribute to the continuous learning approach of the team by bringing in new insights, welcoming them from others, and generating even stronger outcomes as a resultProvide hands-on coding support and perform code reviews to ensure quality standardsCommunicate clearly about progress, challenges, and technical decisionsLet us know if this challenge is for you
