The Position - PHP Developer

We're looking for a highly resourceful and innovative developer with extensive experience in the layout, design, and coding of websites specifically in PHP format. You must also possess a strong knowledge of web application development using PHP programming language and MySQL Server databases.


Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
  • Understanding of MVC design patterns
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming
  • Strong knowledge of Laravel framework
  • Familiarity with Docker containers
  • Familiarity with AWS
  • Understanding accessibility and security compliance (OWASP Top 10)
  • Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Proficient with mySQL
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git


The Project

Legacy PHP application that currently does not make use of a framework; however we are in the process of moving to a more object-oriented and framework based application - so the ideal candidate is someone who is interested in helping us make that transition
