About the role


The Logistics Project Manager will drive the optimization of South America logistics operations, supporting first, middle and last mile operations as well as customs clearance and reverse logistics. This role emphasizes continuous process improvement, development of new processes and systems functionalities, and system integrations with both local and international suppliers. Will lead local team projects in collaboration with supporting functions, ensuring alignment with headquarters’ strategic goals. Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, particularly in e-commerce logistics, is essential. Proficiency in both Portuguese and English is required, with Spanish and Mandarin as advantageous skills.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and support logistics operations across local and cross-border channels, focusing but not limited on first mile, last mile, customs and reverse logistics processes improvements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new logistics processes, tools, and systems functionalities.
  • Oversee system integrations with local and international suppliers and carriers, ensuring seamless connectivity and data flow across platforms.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics workflows and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, technology, and finance, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for local and headquarters teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and timelines.
  • Lead and manage local team projects, ensuring timely execution and successful outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, key performance indicators (KPIs), and potential risks, ensuring transparency with stakeholders.
  • Provide logistics expertise and guidance to support business growth and expansion, particularly in e-commerce logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies, maintaining a focus on safety and quality.


Requirements


  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the logistics industry, with a strong preference for experience in e-commerce logistics.
  • Solid understanding of PMO principles and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a strong ability to collaborate across functions and locations, including the ability to drive local projects and align with supporting functions at headquarters.
  • Strong background in process improvement, with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of new processes and systems functionalities as well as experience in system integrations with logistics partners.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement and change management.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English is required; Spanish and Mandarin are a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software. PMP, Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications is preferred.
