Scope:

We are seeking a motivated, passionate, and seasoned Engineer with practical expertise in Core Networks, including Circuit Switching, Packet Switching, SIP, VoLTE, and messaging (SMS). The ideal candidate should be committed to their work and excel in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. This position entails supporting and growing a global core network, providing an excellent opportunity for an engineer with significant telecom experience to highlight their technical and organizational capabilities. You will work as part of a small, proficient team of engineers at the leading edge of IoT technologies.


Job Description:

  • Be accountable for supporting our client’s core network components and performing troubleshooting and analysis of network incidents.
  • Contribute ideas and collaborate with team members to develop, implement, integrate, and oversee network projects.
  • Enhance network monitoring capabilities.
  • Ensure reliable uptime of the core network.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for vendors and other teams.
  • Engage in knowledge sharing with fellow engineers.


Requirements:

  • Experience with 3GPP Network Components: HLR/HSS, DRA, STP, SMSC, GMSC, IMS Core, PGW, OCS, PCRF, AAA.
  • Strong understanding of telecom protocols and associated interfaces: GTP (S8), Diameter (S6a, Gx, Gy, Rx, Cx, Sh), MAP, Radius, SMPP, SIP.
  • Experience implementing telecom integrations.
  • Familiarity with Wireshark network analyzer and scripting languages is beneficial.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in telecom support or a degree in Computer/Telecommunications Engineering.
  • Proven success working within small teams.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting network issues.
  • Strong documentation abilities.
  • Willingness to learn from and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Prior experience working under strict deadlines is crucial.
  • Dedication to delivering a high-quality and professional service.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of task completion.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adaptable and versatile in approach to work.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to support out-of-hours work and participate in on-call rotations.
