Job overview and responsibilities

This operational support position is designed to grow the candidate's knowledge of United's best practices, Digital Technology's tools, processes and functions with oversite and mentoring from senior leaders in the Field Services organization. The role is responsible for managing all the logistics aspects of small to medium size projects that are complex, helps coordinate project plans, training, execution, ensures functionality and quality of solution, is involved in project's Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Voice Over IP (VOIP), Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), mobility platforms and infrastructure activities that comply with United's IT critical infrastructure standards. The role will include interfacing between Field Services and internal/external business partners.

The successful candidate must possess excellent organization and communication skills with a strong background in project management, strong understanding of telecommunications standards and practices, and excellent customer service skills. Supports regional airports, customer service centers, contact centers and all other United Airlines facilitiesDuties include walkthroughs, Digital Technology (DT) equipment support, preventative maintenance, mobility product support, DT infrastructure support, operational equipment and communication rooms, base location inventory management and supply storageCreates a work environment that embraces and appreciates diversityPerforms system maintenance/administration, diagnostics, automated imaging of PC equipment/IT Infrastructure, installation and removal of PC equipment, assist end users with troubleshooting of device performance issueMonitors regional Digital Technology (DT) stock levels and maintains warehouse well organizedAttends regional project meetings and provides project tracking and analysisSupports the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverableCoordinates activities with internal/external technology owners/service providersNetwork Engineering, WAN Engineering, WiFi Engineering and Mobility EngineeringEnsures the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) room and Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) conform to established enterprise/industry standards Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI), Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA), TelecommunicationsIndustry association (TIA)The resumes must be sent in English.

Qualifications

Required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent IT experienceCertification in Low Voltage CommunicationsMinimum of 1-3 years of IT experienceKnowledge of Mobility IOS/Android, Windows and LAN roomStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences Aptitude for problem solving, looking beyond the obvious and not stopping at the first answerStrong level of poise in high pressure environmentsActive committment to self-developmentTechnical aptitude and ability to learn new technologiesMust be legally authorized to work in Brazil for any employer without sponsorshipMust be fluent in English and Portuguese (written and spoken)Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionTravel required 50% of the time along with after-hours work and weekends support, as needed.The resumes must be sent in English.
