Learning Experience Designer

At BrainBuffet, we create fun, real-world courses that help students learn creative software and earn certifications.We’re looking for a Learning Experience Designer — someone who bridges education and creativity. You’ll make sure our courses don’t just teach students, but truly engage them.This role is perfect for someone who loves to blend instructional design, storytelling, and visual creativity — ensuring that every BrainBuffet course feels dynamic, clear, and unforgettable.If you love spotting small details that make a big difference - from pacing and clarity to those moments where an animation or callout could make content “click” - this role is for you. What You’ll DoContent DevelopmentReview courses at all stages of production (pre-production, production, post-production) to ensure accuracy, clarity, engagement, and pedagogical alignment.Ensure content design is grounded in evidence-based learning science, instructional strategies, accessibility, and usability principles.Share thoughtful suggestions with editors, animators, designers and the Creative Director to improve pacing, flow, and visual engagement in ways that support learning outcomes.Identify and address content gaps, redundancies, or inconsistencies, always considering how pedagogical connections can be strengthened for students.Review written materials (lesson plans, worksheets, quizzes, and scripts) to ensure they align with learning goals and reinforce the course’s instructional design.Creative ReviewWatch and analyze video lessons through the student’s eyes — how can we make this click better?Suggest creative ideas for editors, such as:On-screen callouts to reinforce key termsAnimations or zoom-ins to maintain interestMoments of humor, visuals, or transitions that break monotonyEnsure creative elements enhance, rather than distract from learning.Work closely with the video and design teams to bring educational content to life — visually and conceptually.Ensure creative ideas always serve the learning experience, not just the visuals.Collaborate with the Learning Designer to keep BrainBuffet’s courses interactive, fun, and student-centered. What We’re Looking ForRequired:Strong background in education, instructional design, or curriculum development.Experience creating or reviewing digital learning content (video-based or e-learning).Excellent eye for detail, pacing, and visual storytelling.Ability to give clear, positive, and constructive creative feedback.Comfortable collaborating with multiple teams (education, editing, design).Nice to have:Background in media production or creative direction.Familiarity with certification-based learning or software like Adobe, Autodesk, or Microsoft.Experience balancing educational objectives with engaging, visual storytelling.Soft Skills We Value at BrainBuffetTeam players who thrive in collaborative environments and believe the best ideas come from working together.People who value continuous learning and teaching, understanding that growth is a constant part of this role.Respectful communicators who listen deeply and approach feedback with empathy and clarity.Individuals who work with purpose and feel genuinely passionate about education, student success, and making learning meaningful.A positive, solutions-oriented mindset — someone who can navigate challenges with creativity and calm.If you’re passionate about making learning fun and meaningful, we’d love to meet you.Apply now and bring your creative spark to the BrainBuffet teamNext steps: Write an email to hr@brainbuffet.com with a cover letter that elaborates why you think you are a good fit for this role.
