Position brief
We are looking for a Tax Manager to support managing the company's entire tax function in Brazil. This includes compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations, implementing tax-efficient processes, advising on indirect and direct taxes, and supporting business initiatives from a tax perspective. The role will play a critical part in enabling sustainable growth while minimizing tax risks.
Your responsibilities
- Prepare / review tax returns according to relevant regulations, ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns for the company.
- Review the taxes calculated by the OEM.
- Improve the internal tax management system, ensure effective internal control and mitigate tax risks if any.
- Directly and independently handle tax audits, disputes and litigation.
- Response to daily tax enquiries from business teams, clients or business partners, including but not limited to contract review, invoice matter, and so on.
- Identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation. Prepared the applications to relevant tax incentives, if applicable.
- Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's tax position.
- Participate in the implementation of digital tax system project for the company, ensure alignment between technology and tax requirements.
- Actively pay attention to and provide insights on changes to federal and state tax laws to make sure that the proper planning, compliance, and reporting are planned.

Requirement for the position
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Law, Business Administration or related fields.
- 6+ years of experience in tax management, preferably including a mix of in-house and consulting roles.
- Solid knowledge of Brazilian tax regulations, including indirect and direct taxation.
- Fluency in Portuguese and professional proficiency in English (Mandarin is a plus)
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proactive risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in companies in the initial phase of operation in Brazil (stage 0→1), especially in contexts of rapid expansion is a plus
