Financial Controller – Gold Mining Sector – Brazil An international mining company developing a promisinggold project in northern Brazil (Pará region)is seeking aFinancial Controllerto play a key role in managing the financial, accounting, and administrative functions of its Brazilian operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organization and contribute to the development of a strategic asset in the region. Key Responsibilities Oversee the activities of theexternal accounting firm , ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate policies; Lead thebudgeting and forecastingprocess, including financial planning, cost control, and variance analysis; Managecurrent and future contracts , ensuring alignment with company policies and efficient resource allocation; Maintain control offixed assets , including registration, depreciation, and reconciliation; Superviseprocurement, accounts payable, and accounts receivableprocesses; Prepare and deliverfinancial and management reportsto corporate headquarters, providing insightful analysis and recommendations; Strengtheninternal controlsand improve administrative and financial procedures; Lead and develop the local team , promoting best practices in governance and operational efficiency; Workremotely , withfrequent visits to the project site in northern Brazil (Pará region) . Requirements Bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field ; Proven experience incontrollership and corporate finance , ideally within themining, energy, or infrastructure sectors ; Strong background managingthird-party accounting servicesand financial compliance; Solid understanding ofbudgeting, forecasting, contracts, and internal controls ; Analytical, proactive, and results-oriented profile with the ability to work independently; Fluent Portuguese Advanced Englishproficiency is highly desirable. Location This is aremote position , withregular travel to the company’s operations in northern Brazil (Pará region) .
