Technical Writer

Overview:Algoseek is seeking aTechnical Writer – Financial Documentationto create clear, structured, and comprehensive documentation for our datasets and APIs. This role requires both technical precision and financial knowledge, turning complex data and APIs into content that is accurate, accessible, and client-friendly. You will work closely with developers, data engineers, and product teams to ensure consistency, clarity, and usability across all documentation.Role Details: Location:100% Remote (Global Team) Job Type:Full-time Compensation:Competitive, with additional growth opportunitiesResponsibilities: Develop and maintainclear, accurate, and structured documentationfor financial APIs, datasets, and schemas. Createdetailed descriptionsof datasets, fields, parameters, and references with consistent terminology. Explain complex financial concepts (market data, instruments, indicators) insimple, client-friendly language . Provideusage examples(sample queries, API calls, JSON responses) for APIs and datasets. Collaborate withdevelopers, data engineers, and product managersto gather technical details. Define and enforcedocumentation standards, style guides, and consistencyacross products. Continuouslyimprove documentationbased on feedback from clients and internal teams.Essential Requirements: Proven experience as aTechnical Writer, Data Documentation Specialist, or related role . Strong understanding ofAPIs, datasets, data models, and JSON structures . Background infinance or trading , with knowledge of instruments, market data, or financial reporting. Excellentwritten Englishwith the ability to simplify complex technical and financial concepts. Ability to structure and organize large sets of documentationlogically and consistently . Skilled at collaborating withcross-functional teams(engineering, product, data, QA).Desirable Requirements: Experience withAPI documentation tools(e.g., OpenAPI). Familiarity withdata modeling toolsand metadata management. Basic knowledge ofPython . Understanding ofdeveloper experienceand user-centered documentation design. Prior work infintech, data providers, or market intelligence platforms . Ability to createvisual aids(ER diagrams, data flow charts, architecture overviews).Work Hours: Flexible remote setup with required availability forcritical U.S. market overlap hours .
