We’re seeking a NGS Technical Sales Specialist who blends a strong scientific foundation with a consultative commercial mindset — someone who can speak the language of researchers, understand their challenges, and guide them toward solutions that accelerate discovery.
What You’ll Do
Drive Scientific Engagement & Growth
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for MGI’s sequencing and automation portfolio.
Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within universities, hospitals, research institutes, and biotech companies.
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders and research partners.
Act as a Scientific Partner
Provide consultative pre- and post-sales support to ensure customers achieve optimal experimental outcomes.
Collaborate with Field Application Scientists to deliver a seamless scientific and technical experience.
Conduct presentations, workshops, and seminars to demonstrate the impact of MGI technologies on research and clinical applications.
Market Intelligence & Collaboration
Stay ahead of market trends in genomics, molecular biology, and precision medicine to identify new growth opportunities.
Represent MGI at scientific conferences, trade shows, and regional events as a trusted partner in the life sciences community.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Marketing, and R&D to align customer feedback with product innovation.
Reporting & Planning
Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline data, and customer records using CRM tools (Salesforce).
Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet and exceed objectives.

What You Bring
Scientific Expertise
Solid understanding of genomics, molecular biology, or biotechnology .
Hands-on experience with NGS workflows, DNA/RNA sequencing, or lab automation .
Commercial Experience
5+ years of experience in life science sales, business development, or field-based scientific roles .
Proven record of achieving or exceeding sales goals through consultative, science-driven engagement.
Education & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field required; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred .
English: Advanced | Spanish: Intermediate to Advanced.
Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite .
Willingness to travel up to 50% across Brazil.
