Position Summary Vanzbon Group is looking for an  Accounting & Tax Officer – Brazil to support our growing client portfolio and day-to-day compliance work in Brazil.
The role focuses on  bookkeeping, tax calculations, and preparation of statutory filings for Brazilian entities, working closely with our regional and HQ teams.
This position is ideal for professionals with solid hands-on experience in Brazilian accounting and tax who are comfortable working in  Portuguese and basic English .

Key Responsibilities Perform daily bookkeeping and maintain accurate general ledger records for Brazilian entities, in line with local accounting standards.
Prepare and review periodic tax calculations and filings, including (as applicable):
IRPJ, CSLL, PIS/COFINS, ISS, ICMS , and other federal, state, or municipal taxes.
Manage  NF-e / NFS-e (electronic invoices), ensuring correct tax coding and proper documentation.
Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
Assist in tax reconciliations between accounting records and tax returns.
Monitor relevant tax deadlines and ensure all returns and obligations are filed on time.
Coordinate with clients to gather necessary documentation, clarify transactions, and resolve discrepancies.
When required, assist in responding to basic inquiries or notices from tax authorities, working with external advisors or senior team members as needed.
Maintain structured digital files for all working papers, tax returns, and supporting documents.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in  Accounting, Finance, or a related field .
Typically  2–4 years of relevant professional experience in Brazilian accounting and tax (experience in accounting/tax firms or outsourcing environments is highly valued).
Solid understanding of  Brazilian tax rules and practical experience with:
IRPJ, CSLL, PIS/COFINS, ISS and/or ICMS.
Hands-on experience with Brazilian accounting/tax software such as  Domínio, Contmatic, Prosoft, TOTVS, or similar tools is an advantage.
Familiarity with  SPED obligations (e.g. ECD, ECF, SPED Fiscal, SPED Contribuições) is a plus.
High level of proficiency in  Portuguese and working proficiency in  English (for calls and written updates with regional/HQ teams).
Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and documentation discipline.
Legally eligible to work in Brazil.
Skills & Competencies Reliable and detail-oriented in handling accounting and tax data.
Able to manage multiple clients or entities in parallel and meet filing deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a practical, execution-focused environment.
Clear written communication and good organisation of digital files and working papers.
