This position requires advanced knowledge of entry writing, classification according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS), and participation in government agency clearances, including Customs regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing customs entries and coordinating freight logistics with carriers, overseas offices, and importers.
  • Following up on customs clearance processes and resolving documentation discrepancies.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and supervisors regarding documentation issues.
  • Establishing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Preparing reports and analysis using various software.
  • Working on a weekend rotation and holiday schedule based on operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience working for a Customs Broker.
  • Knowledge of customs laws, regulations, and government procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Customers Broker License - Preferred.
  • Accurate and rapid data entry skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
