Role Description: The Brand Lead is accountable for the strategy and tactical execution of all initiatives required to drive the launch and brand strategy for an anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody , first time in Brazil.


The Brand Lead will report into the Marketing Head – Brazil work in close collaboration with Global Center of Excellence within the Emerging Markets Business Unit. As a first innovative launch for Dr Reddy’s this role represents a significant commercial opportunity in an area of high unmet medical need across multiple cancers viz. NPC, Melanoma, Lung Cancer, Esophageal Cancer.

The person chosen will be charged with developing and driving robust commercial launch plans for the innovative asset which is an anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody and for collaborating successfully with key cross-functional partners in Brazil as well as globally.


This position is based on-site at Sao Paulo.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Accountability for the development and execution of commercial launch strategy of the innovative asset in Brazil through close liaison with other team functions such as medical affairs, market access, and regulatory etc
  • Adaptation and creation of brand messaging and communication for Brazil by gaining local insights and understanding of the oncology market and customers
  • Execution of all tactics across various stakeholders – HCPs, patients etc, including omnichannel efforts for HCPs and development of any training or communications required for execution
  • Lead/work with agency for market research and customer insight to shape brand strategy.
  • Lead, adapt and execute innovative and impactful promotional campaigns (in line with global campaign) and non-branded concepts
  • Identifying competitor activities and developing action to address them
  • Responsible for feedback and influence from Brazilian perspective to global COE team on the market requirements and insights
  • Identification and execution of innovative digital opportunities to enhance channel mix and deliver on Brand strategic imperatives in novel ways
  • Constantly strive to identify growth opportunities for the brand and indications in charge and drives business cases to make appropriate investments
  • Drive P&L considerations in the brand team to maximize current and future business growth
  • Allocation and spends of marketing budgets and tracking impact
  • Proactively support the development of commercial short-, mid- and long-term forecasting scenarios
  • Work closely with supply, finance, compliance and regulatory teams
  • Ensuring alignment of brand strategy as well as regulatory, legal and compliance
  • Manage partner agency relationships, workflow and related project budgets – including timely operations (e.g. POs, invoices, etc.)
  • Gain a deep understanding of the customer experience, identify and fill gaps, and introduce new ideas that increase market share, improve the customer experience, and drive business growth.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
  • Solid experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with experience in one or more of the following: marketing, launch excellence, oncology



Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA in relevant field
  • Prior in-line HCP marketing experience
  • Oncology, rare disease or specialty care experience highly preferred
  • Understanding of Brazilian Oncology landscape including HCPS, Payer landscape, Pharmacy stakeholders
  • Marketing experience (developing brand strategy, performing positioning, messaging, segmentation, targeting, leading ad agency, providing direction on annual budget planning)
  • Experience across multiple promotional channels (Personal, Non-Personal and Digital, Patient marketing)
  • New Launch experience
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English
