Financial Controller – Gold Mining Sector – BrazilAn international mining company developing a promising gold project in northern Brazil (Pará region) is seeking a Financial Controller to play a key role in managing the financial, accounting, and administrative functions of its Brazilian operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organization and contribute to the development of a strategic asset in the region.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the activities of the external accounting firm, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate policies;Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, including financial planning, cost control, and variance analysis;Manage current and future contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and efficient resource allocation;Maintain control of fixed assets, including registration, depreciation, and reconciliation;Supervise procurement, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes;Prepare and deliver financial and management reports to corporate headquarters, providing insightful analysis and recommendations;Strengthen internal controls and improve administrative and financial procedures;Lead and develop the local team, promoting best practices in governance and operational efficiency;Work remotely, with frequent visits to the project site in northern Brazil (Pará region).RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field;Proven experience in controllership and corporate finance, ideally within the mining, energy, or infrastructure sectors;Strong background managing third-party accounting services and financial compliance;Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, contracts, and internal controls;Analytical, proactive, and results-oriented profile with the ability to work independently;Fluent PortugueseAdvanced English proficiency is highly desirable.LocationThis is a remote position, with regular travel to the company’s operations in northern Brazil (Pará region).
