Role: Datadog Engineer - SRE Contract Duration: 1 year (possible extension)
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Datadog Engineer . This is an excellent opportunity to work on international projects, leading monitoring initiatives and driving best practices in observability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end monitoring projects, collaborating with application teams and stakeholders.
Identify and resolve monitoring gaps and performance issues.
Standardize tagging and continuously improve monitoring processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Implement SNMP for network infrastructure monitoring integrations (e.g., SolarWinds).
Integrate Datadog with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) for incident handling and tracking.
Develop and maintain documentation for Datadog configurations and processes.
Train and mentor team members on Datadog best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Datadog Certification
Certified in Datadog, demonstrating formal expertise.
Hands-On Experience
Minimum of 5 years actively working with Datadog, with deep familiarity across its ecosystem.
Technical Expertise
Advanced knowledge of APM (Application Performance Monitoring) and Log Ingestion.
Proficient in Terraform, Python, and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong background in incident management
Familiarity with cost optimization strategies.
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus.
