Requirements:Higher education degreePost-graduate degree in Education or similarExperience in IB schoolsDeep knowledge of the IB-DP curriculum and pedagogical program.Desirable experience in High SchoolExperience in leading and guiding teams of teachers.Fluent English (C1 or C2 certification)Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of G SuiteEssential skills:Excellent communication skillsPlanning and organizationInterpersonal skillsCritical thinking and problem-solvingAdaptabilityLeadership and managementKnowledge of educational legislationResponsibilities:Ensure and lead the implementation of the school curriculum and pedagogical program for Y10.Oversee the effective implementation of the curriculum and lead discussions with teachers on best practices using a critical thinking mindset.Participate in curriculum review and updates on learning expectations, guided by consultants and Area Leaders.Guide and provide support and feedback on teachers weekly planning activities.Address teachers needs in class management, relationships with peers, and student interactions in line with the Teaching and Learning Rubric.Appraise relevant teachers from the grade level.Continuously strive for an individualized perspective on every child and support teachers in designing and implementing strategies to develop each student s potential.Collaborate with the Student Wellbeing Center (SWBC) team to ensure students needs are being addressed.According to Beacon s internal procedures, role models should conduct their work appropriately for the school setting in terms of dress code, punctuality, voice tone, gestures, and relationships.Help the team develop best-practice communication skills with families.Show responsiveness and resourcefulness in interacting with teachers and assistant coordinators to address daily issues, provide feedback, and exchange ideas regularly.Find replacements for absent teachers and ensure lesson plans are available for them.Interact with families promptly, providing feedback on students development.Set objectives and demands according to teachers needs, aligned with the proposal established in collaboration with the Professional Development Deputy Head and Pedagogical Director.Collaborate effectively with team members, consultants, office, and other staff members to make decisions and solve problems as a team.Lead office hours meetings with the team and collaborate in leading professional development sessions.Share knowledge, good practices, resources, opinions, and skills to facilitate the teaching and learning process and develop colleagues growth.Create opportunities for dialogue with staff about various matters, focusing on communication and development.
