EARJ is looking for an experienced and accomplished Lower School Makerspace Teacher to join our team at Gávea campus (July 2026).The Lower School Makerspace Teacher is a dynamic and innovative educator who fosters creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving through hands-on STEM learning experiences. As an IB World School, we are looking for an educator who can seamlessly integrate maker-centered learning with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum. Working closely with classroom teachers and specialists, this educator will design and facilitate engaging, inquiry-based projects that nurture innovation, design thinking, a maker mindset, and strong foundations in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) for students from Kindergarten to Grade 5.The ideal candidate is:Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy and Arts, Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.Has 3–5 years of qualified teaching experience, preferably in an international school context.A skillful and creative practitioner in multilingual and interdisciplinary classrooms.A motivated learner who takes responsibility for their own professional growth.Someone who thrives in an environment of transformational leadership.Passionate about innovation, creativity, and hands-on, inquiry-based learning.Skilled in high-impact 21st-century instructional practices, integrating technology, design thinking, and the arts.And, most importantly, teaches students, not just subjects.If you are culturally open-minded and have an optimistic growth mindset, then EARJ is the place where you can make a difference.
