Position Summary

Join us as a Pet Product & Accessories Designer and bring innovative, captivating pet toys and accessories to life Your mission is to design safe, durable, and visually engaging products that delight both pets and their owners. With a passion for pet toy trends and a creative approach, you’ll transform ideas into one-of-a-kind, playful creations. If you have experience with licensed products, you’ll also have the chance to infuse iconic brands and beloved characters into your designs, making them irresistible for pet lovers everywhere

Location: LATAM.

Schedule: EST. 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Our client is a leading marketer, designer, and manufacturer of branded and private-label pet toys and accessories. They work with top brands to create high-quality, innovative products, treating pets like family and focusing on both functionality and style to meet the needs of pets and their owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Fashion, Product, Toy Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-3 years of experience in toys or product design, preferably in the pet industry.
• Strong skills in sketching, prototyping, and creative design.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and 3D modeling tools.
• Some knowledge of print and pattern development and production.
• Familiarity with fabric/material choices and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with B2B clients, startups, and U.S.-based companies.
• Professional-level English proficiency.
• Licensing experience is a plus.

Technical Knowledge & Hard Skills

• Expertise in plush toy construction, materials, and safety standards.
• Knowledge of textile, print, and accessories design.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and sketching techniques.
• Experience with 3D modeling and design software.
• Strong understanding of toy safety regulations and pet behavior insights.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design a variety of plush pet toys, clothing, and accessories with engaging prints and patterns.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D sketches to convey design concepts.
• Recommend materials that prioritize durability and safety.
• Work closely with product development teams to refine designs for manufacturability.
• Research market trends, consumer preferences, and safety standards for creative inspiration.
• Ensure all designs meet industry safety requirements.
• Revise designs based on customer feedback and testing.
• Partner with marketing to create compelling product descriptions and packaging ideas.
• Collaborate with licensors to align designs with brand guidelines and licensing agreements.
