About the opportunity:
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to support our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines in a dynamic environment leveraging Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Postgres, and Terraform. In this role, you will participate in automating infrastructure provisioning, managing containerized applications, and maintaining CI/CD workflows to ensure smooth and scalable deployments. You will work closely with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues, implement best practices, and enhance system reliability and performance across multi-cloud platforms. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative DevOps environment.
This contract position is open to remote candidates outside the United States in North/South America and will report to the Sr. Manager of DevOps Engineering.
What you get to do every day:
-Participate in an on-call rotation on a regular basis and respond to incidents reliably and professionally.
-Maintain and evolve our AWS cloud infrastructure, employing automation, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
-Build and maintain our code pipelines, designing and building automation in order to enable agile software development, using self-service where possible.
-Collaborate efficiently and effectively with other team members and Software Engineers to solve complex problems.
-Quickly absorb context and knowledge while ramping up.
Skills/Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
-4-6 years experience in SRE, DevOps, or similar role
-Experience with cloud provider platforms such as AWS or GCP
-Experience with relational databases (e.G., Postgres, MySQL)
-Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Experience with GitOps CI/CD tools (e.G., Harness, Argo, Flux, Jenkins)
- Familiarity with declarative infrastructure-as-code tools (e.G., Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi)
-Exposure to logging, monitoring, metrics collection, and observability tools (e.G., DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, CloudWatch)
- Collaboration with other engineers working primarily in PST
Desired Skills (Nice to Haves):
- Experience with software development and automation in languages beyond shell scripting (e.G., golang, python, elixir, java, etc.)
- Experience with platform development of tools for development, staging, and integration environments
- Experience with debugging performance or networking issues in applications running on Kubernetes
- Experience with audit compliance (e.G., SOX, SOC2, ISO27001, PCI DSS)
- Working knowledge of UNIX-based Operating Systems
-Computer Science or Engineering degree
