Senior UX/UI Engineer

We're seeking for aSenior UX/UI Engineerin Brazil - 100% remoteType: 6-Month Contract (with strong potential for extension) Location: RemoteAbout the Role We’re looking for a Senior UX/UI Engineer to help build and improve internal web-based user interfaces for our Site Reliability Engineering teams. This role is ideal for a front-end engineer who loves to get hands-on with React and enjoys improving user workflows, not just coding layouts. You’ll be working on existing internal React applications (built by engineers, for engineers) — streamlining them, improving usability, and helping implement new functionality.What You’ll Do Enhance and reorganize an existing internal React app to improve usability and maintainability. Build and implement intuitive web-based interfaces used daily by internal engineering teams. Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to identify UX pain points and deliver better workflows. Bring a strong design sensibility to UI decisions, even if design is not your primary focus.Must-Have Skills React expertise — deep hands-on experience building and improving production React applications. Experience delivering solutions using multiple front-end languages or frameworks (you’ve picked up a “second and third language”). HTMX experience (required). Lit experience is a plus (not mandatory). Experience implementing and improving internal web-based applications. Comfort working in the UX layer — improving workflow, usability, and user experience (not just layouts).Nice-to-Have Skills Some UX design experience — wireframing, talking to users, or journey mapping. Experience with Go or Python (enough to be dangerous). Familiarity with internal tools or applications (preferred over public-facing apps).Soft Skills Go-getter mentality — eager to learn, fix, and improve from day one. Curious and proactive — someone who would say, “I saw the issues in your React app, fixed them, and I’m ready to move forward.” Focused on delivering impact to end users — able to articulate what you built, why it mattered, and how it improved the experience.
