Salary : 1500 - 2100 USD (Depending on experience)

About the Role

Are you a meticulous Bookkeeper with a passion for numbers and a knack for client service? We're looking for a proactive, detail-obsessed professional to manage full-cycle bookkeeping for a portfolio of diverse clients. In this remote and client-facing role, you'll be a key player in ensuring financial accuracy, smooth operations, and timely deliverables—all while working closely with a supportive team of senior accountants.

This is more than just data entry—you'll be owning the books, communicating directly with clients, and contributing to clean, compliant financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

  • Handle monthly bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients, including:
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Payroll processing
  • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online or similar software.
  • Communicate with clients via email or directly when needed to resolve queries.
  • Assist with junior accountant-level tasks and basic financial reports.
  • Collaborate with senior accountants and management to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and Canadian or U.S. accounting standards.
  • Work independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience (with accounting exposure preferred).
  • QuickBooks Online proficiency is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of AP, AR, and reconciliations.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working remotely with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have

  • Reliable internet connection and your own computer.
  • Familiarity with Canadian or U.S. accounting standards.
  • Experience with payroll and basic financial reporting.
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of other tools like Xero is a plus.
