Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Performance Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing and executing performance test plans, analyzing system behavior, and collaborating with software architects and developers to optimize throughput and resource utilization.Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain performance test scripts and scenarios for drilling applications. Analyze system behavior under stress, load, and endurance conditions to identify performance bottlenecks. Collaborate with software architects, developers, and DevOps teams to optimize throughput, latency, and resource utilization. Monitor key performance indicators (CPU, memory, I/O, network) during test executions using tools like New Relic and correlate results with backend logs and telemetry data. Generate detailed test reports and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in performance engineering or testing in enterprise or industrial software. Strong Java and/or C# Core understanding with the ability to debug issues, analyze stacktraces, and perform root cause analysis. Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for test automation. Experience with monitoring tools like New Relic, Dynatrace. Solid understanding of network latency, threading/concurrency, memory profiling, and database performance (SQL/NoSQL). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret performance metrics into actionable insights. Software development background, ability to modify code. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or private data centers supporting oilfield operations. Familiarity with oil and gas drilling workflows, real-time data protocols. ISTQB or other performance testing certifications. Languages: English: B2 Upper Intermediate
