Senior Backend Engineering Analyst

Join our development team as a Senior Backend Engineering Analyst You will be a key player in developing modern web applications and creating surprising new products for our clients. Our team focuses on building global-scale products and managing numerous direct integrations, including Meta (Facebook) for messaging. We also integrate with various platforms using APIs, queuing, and streaming technologies.

Activities
While responsibilities vary, in a general context, here's what we expect from you daily:
Deliver technology projects/products aligned with the company's strategic objectives (OKRs) , collaborating with the product team to suggest and develop new functionalities.
Architect and develop APIs for incredible conversational experiences and integrations using modern development technologies.
Develop and maintain scalable backend systems for a robust, global messaging platform (e.g., WhatsApp and SMS channels).
Collaboratively develop and enhance distributed backend services that meet our customers' needs.
Actively participate in discussions about product features and technical solutions to solve customer problems and scale our solution.
Master integrations and communications using REST APIs .
Practice code versioning (Git) , with experience in Pull Requests and Code Review.
Work effectively in a team environment-we don't build software alone

Requirements
Solid experience in a functional language like Elixir, Erlang, Go, Rust, or Clojure .
Experience developing RESTful and gRPC APIs .
Strong knowledge of distributed system architecture, data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns .
Practical knowledge of Agile development methodologies .
Solid understanding of relational databases .
Experience with Unit Testing and Integration Testing .
English is a must. You will communicate with teams around the world daily. We expect you to have good English reading skills from the start and be willing to dedicate yourself to learning the language.

Knowledge of other languages like Java and Kotlin .
Experience with distributed systems and microservices .
Familiarity with container technology (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes ).
Experience with messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, Phoenix PubSub ).
Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, Elastic Search, etc.).
