The primary focus of this role is the coordination of bids for Brazilian Flag impelled cargo opportunities. These are cargoes that will move within the Brazilian territory. The coordinator will be tasked with evaluating and pursuing both commercial and operational cargoes for carriage on the Company’s Brazil Flag vessels. The scope of these cargo bids may often require extension of the scope to include use of multimodal forms of conveyance. Candidates are encouraged to think outside of the box. There are always new challenges on the horizon and ways to improve, even in a business as old as shipping. This position will challenge the coordinator to come up with creative solutions by matching multiple fleet schedules and modes of transportation with various bids. This role will require constant interaction and communication with the Client’s team to ensure the successful execution of projects. Responsibilities & Duties a. Identification and pursuit of chartering opportunities for wind projects. b. Voyage calculations and pricing of both near‐term and long‐term project cargoes. c. Analysis of intermodal bids (commercial). d. Administration of quoting system. Emphasis on visibility within team and timely communications with customers. e. Project monitoring f. Tracking Wind Cargo Flows (Historic & Projected) Requirements & Skills a. Ability to multi‐task b. Understanding of terms and conditions for contracts of carriage and carriage of breakbulk cargoes under Brazilian Cabotage legistlation. c. Strong verbal and written communication skills d. Attention to detail. e. Minimum of bachelor’s degree (preferably in a Maritime Business Administration or Transportation). f. Minimum three (3) years of experience in the Fluvial / Caoastal cabotage transportation industry is preferred but candidates with les experience will still receive consideration.
