Product Design Manager, Internal ToolsAt DoorDash, our customers are central to our product strategy, and we believe that delivering the best customer experience is key to our success.
Our robust suite of internal tools supports this experience, including onboarding merchants, managing customer and merchant issues, and tracking A/B tests to inform product decisions.We are seeking an experienced design leader in São Paulo, Brazil, to build and lead our internal tools team.
This role offers the opportunity to define the team's vision, culture, and processes, and to solve significant design challenges that impact thousands of internal employees and agents.
The team will collaborate closely with our Customer Experience & Integrity team, as well as engineering teams in São Paulo.You will report to the Head of Customer Experience and Integrity Design within our Design Foundations team in the Product Design organization.
This is an onsite role based in our São Paulo office.Responsibilities include:Managing, developing, and hiring a team of exceptional designersPromoting customer-centric thinking across the organizationPartnering with cross-functional teams to define the vision for internal toolsBuilding a holistic design strategy for our suite of productsMentoring designers and supporting their career developmentFostering a positive team culture and moraleEstablishing effective operating modelsAligning team priorities with strategic goalsQualifications and qualities we value:7+ years of relevant product design experience, with prior management of at least 3 designersProven impact through significant contributions to company-wide initiativesIntermediate to full proficiency in EnglishExperience designing modern, user-friendly toolsA track record of redefining product possibilities and executing innovative solutionsAbility to articulate and visualize a clear design strategyExperience in executive communication and managing relationships with senior leadersSkill in creating clarity in complex, ambiguous situationsExperience building and leading effective teamsAbility to work in our São Paulo officeAbout DoorDashDoorDash empowers local economies through innovative logistics and technology.
