The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with engineers, QA teams, and solution managers to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that meet business and customer needs. This role involves developing production-ready code, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and continuously improving product performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement production-ready code in collaboration with engineering, QA, and product teams.
Troubleshoot, research, and resolve production issues, implementing enhancements and bug fixes.
Define feature priorities, delivery schedules, and product timelines in coordination with stakeholders.
Integrate POS systems with payment hardware and related configurations.
Participate in requirements gathering, documentation, and technical design discussions.
Lead non-functional areas of development, including system security, performance, and scalability.
Contribute to an Agile/Scrum team, delivering high-quality, shippable software on schedule.
Produce and maintain technical documentation as needed.
Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: 5–8 years of professional experience developing and supporting software applications in production environments.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language (Delphi preferred).
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (usage and operations).
Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and software lifecycle management.
Proficiency with source control systems (TFS, GitHub, SVN, etc.).
Familiarity with Windows-based development, software installation, and device setup.
Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Win32 or Delphi development.
Exposure to Crystal Reports or other reporting tools.
Experience in credit card/payment integrations or web services/API development.
Understanding of virtual machine environments.
Demonstrated ability to mentor or train other developers through code reviews or technical sessions.
