️ Position: Associate Principal – Cloud Architecture (Azure PaaS Modernization) Location: Remote in Brazil Type: Full-Time / Contractor (depending on region) ️ Language: Fluent English requiredAbout the Role We are seeking anAssociate Principal – Architecturewith strong technical leadership and deep expertise inAzure PaaS application modernization . This role focuses on designing target-state cloud architectures, leading modernization and migration efforts, and guiding engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise applications. The ideal candidate brings a balance ofhands-on technical depth , architectural strategy, and the ability tolead and mentor technical teams . Key Responsibilities Lead and executemodernization and migration initiativesto Azure PaaS services (e.g., App Service, Azure Functions, AKS, Container Instances). Conductapplication modernization assessments , develop target-state cloud architectures, and define migration roadmaps. Optimizehosting, performance, scalability, cost efficiency , and system reliability. Providetechnical leadershipto teams of 5+ engineers, ensuring architectural alignment and delivery excellence. Design and implementAzure Landing Zonesfollowing best practices for security, governance, and networking. Collaborate withEnterprise Architecture, Data, DevOps, and Integrationteams to ensure end-to-end solution coherence. Assess and tune application performance before and after migration. Technical Requirements 13+ yearsof experience in application development and modernization. Strong hands-on experience migrating and hosting applications onAzure PaaS(App Services, Functions, AKS). Experience withIIS hosting , containerization, and Kubernetes-based runtime environments. Solid understanding ofapplication architecture, integrations, networking, and security patterns . Working knowledge ofdatabase connectivity, caching, session management, and configuration best practices . Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimizeAzure application environments . Leadership Expectations Experienceleading teams of 5+ engineers , with the ability to mentor, coach, and guide. Capable of aligning technical direction to business priorities and delivering to timelines. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive-level engagement. Soft Skills Clear, concise communication inEnglish(written and spoken). Strong client-facing and presentation skills. Collaborative mindset and positive attitude. Strong analytical and decision-making ability.
